Jorge joined Avilar in March 2024 as a Scientist II within our Biology Team, where he contributes to the development of biochemical and cell-based assays to advance our novel ATAC extracellular degraders. Jorge has nearly a decade of industry experience through his work at Synlogic Therapeutics, Ohana Biosciences, and Immunogen, where he led assay development efforts across multiple research programs. Jorge has an MS in Applied Biotechnology and a BS in Biotechnology from UMass Lowell.
